The Bronx District Attorney is seeking an experienced attorney (7+ years of criminal law experience) to supervise attorneys in the prosecution of criminal cases in the Special Investigation Bureau. This position involves the day-to-day oversight of the processing of cases in the District Attorney’s Office and provides supervision primarily to legal staff. The Special Investigation Bureau (“SIB”) is dedicated to conducting long-term investigations utilizing eavesdropping and other electronic surveillance methods into diverse criminal activity.
Under administrative direction, with wide latitude for the exercise of independent action and decision, collect, analyze, and centralize data provided by external agencies, derived from financial reports, or culled from investigations and cases, and look for patterns in the data pertaining to alleged criminal activity to ferret out patterns that might otherwise remain hidden; and participate in special projects as assigned.
Under limited supervision, with wide latitude for independent judgment and initiative, the Chief Technician will carry out responsible management tasks related to the production of professional media services.
Please note that due to the necessary service needs of this position, the incumbent will be required to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. In addition, the incumbent may be required to be on call in order to avail their services to the office as needed in emergency situations.
The Administrative Supervisor/Assistant to the Bureau Chief will lead and manage the non-legal staff and provide complex administrative support for the Homicide and Gang/Major Case Bureaus.
