    The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the New York State Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking a lawyer and experienced manager to lead the Division of Administration’s delivery of legal support services to the OAG. The Managing Attorney will direct the team responsible for intake, filing, calendaring, monitoring and reporting of all court related matters in addition to other responsibilities. These services are provided to all of the OAG offices located throughout the state, which includes the executive offices in Albany and New York City and thirteen (13) regional offices. The Managing Attorney reports to the COO. The position is based in New York City; some travel will be required.

The professor will teach one section (approximately 45 students) of Legal Writing, a 2-credit course taught in each of the fall and spring semesters.     The Bronx District Attorney is seeking an experienced attorney (10+ years) with outstanding management experience, investigative skills, and expertise in criminal law to lead the Homicide Bureau. The Bureau is comprised of 15 senior trial attorneys plus support staff.

    The Homicide Bureau prosecutes the majority of the homicides committed in the Bronx. The Bureau will be responsible for responding, on a 24-hour on-call basis, to crime scenes, precincts, and other locations to assist the Police Department and other agencies as they investigate these incidents and, eventually, draft the complaints to support an arrest. The Chief will be expected to be on call to approve charging decisions, assist the attorneys and police as they investigate, and be a liaison to the District Attorney on all cases. The Bureau handles all of its cases vertically, from the arrest to trial.
