Bio
Jennifer De Jesus is a first year within the Corporate Group at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. Jennifer graduated in May 2017 from New York University School of Law and attended the Macaulay Honors program at Hunter College (CUNY) receiving a B.A in Sociology. While in law school, Jennifer was the chair of NYU’s Education Law and Policy Society and served on the boards of the Latino Law Students Association (LaLSA), Black Allied Law Students Association (BALSA), and the High School Legal Institute (HSLI). Additionally, she participated in NYU’s Education Law clinic at Advocates for Children of New York and in Columbia Law School’s clinic at the Center for Public Research and Policy. The summer before law school, she participated in the SEO Law program, interning at Cleary Gottlieb within their Latin America practice.
She volunteers weekly with Top Honors, a non-profit offering math tutoring to middle schoolers across New York City in the Upper West Side and Brooklyn. Jennifer is interested in education, social welfare, immigration and civil rights issues. In addition to her native Spanish, she is fluent in Italian and learning Brazilian Portuguese.
