Given the state of our current economy, promoting consumer welfare and ensuring a competitive commercial marketplace are more necessary than ever. Consumer protection and antitrust attorneys address the most interesting and diverse issues relating to fraud.
Representatives from the Federal Trade Commission ("FTC"), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the New York Attorney General's and the Department of Justice's Antitrust Divisions will be present to discuss the work performed by each of their offices, provide advice on pursuing a career in this area generally, and more specifically within their agencies, and identify efforts made by their agencies to encourage diversity and increase the numbers of diverse and female attorneys in government service.
